La teinte des oeufs…comme la madeleine de Proust

Voilà des années que je n’avais plus teint des œufs de cette façon… et pourtant, je garde en mémoire un après-midi magique passé à teindre des œufs chez Antoinette* à Baulmes, il y a bien longtemps, très longtemps…On avait cueilli des pâquerettes et toutes sortes de petites feuilles…puis enveloppé délicatement chaque oeuf d’un bas pour y fixer un dessin hors du temps…et plongé les œufs dans un grande casserole d’eau colorée par des pelures d’oignons… Et quand on avait enlevé les bas après quelques minutes de cuisson, je n’en revenais pas ! Que c’était beau ! J’ai eu envie de me replonger dans cette douce magie…et par chance, il n’a pas été difficile de convaincre une amie pour qu’elle me rejoigne dans l’aventure. Du coup, on était deux à barioler des oeufs. Un jeu d’enfant… c’est merveilleux, non ?!

Recette pour une dizaine d’œufs

Matériel et ingrédients

  • des œufs blancs et bruns (sans inscription si possible)
  • des mi-bas
  • de la ficelle pour cuisine
  • 2 poignées de pelure d’oignon**
  • des trèfles, du cerfeuil et des primevères
  • 1 grande casserole
  • 1 pinceau alimentaire
  • 1cs d’huile de tournesol/colza

Marche à suivre

  1. Remplir la casserole d’eau, et y faire bouillir les pelures d’oignons 20min. Après cela, ôter les pelures et réserver l’eau dans la casserole.
  2. Pendant ce temps, préparer les œufs : prendre un mi-bas dans sa main, y déposer un œuf et placer des végétaux autour de l’œuf en veillant à ce que les feuilles/fleurs/pluches soient joliment réparties et bien plaquées sur l’œuf. Envelopper l’œuf avec le bas, bien serrer et faire un nœud bien serré avec la ficelle.
  3. Mettre délicatement les œufs dans la casserole d’eau teinte encore frémissante et cuire 10-12min.
  4. Après la cuisson, placer les œufs sous l’eau froide, ôter le bas et les végétaux et admirer vos créations…
  5. Enfin, huiler légèrement les œufs à l’aide du pinceau enduit d’huile, frotter-les ensuite avec du papier absorbant et déposer-les dans une jolie corbeille. Enjoy !
